Bobby Keys literally "horned" his way onto a Buddy Holly and the Crickets tour at the tender age of 13. Growing up on the road and in the studio, Keys developed into one of the music industries "go to" session players. He performed on hit records by The Rolling Stones, Delaney & Bonnie, Joe Cocker, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Elton John, just to name a few.

Keys became close friends with Keith Richards, and was often referred to as the "6th Rolling Stone." Life on the road with The Rolling Stones took its toll on Keys. After losing that gig (due to an infamous incident involving a bathtub filled with Dom Perignon), he became lost for a few years and hit rock bottom. Keith Richards pushed Mick to bring Bobby back into the fold, and he resumed his job as the band’s main sax man - performing on hits like Brown Sugar, Can't You Hear Me Knocking, and more.

Bobby Keys passed away in December 2015, but left his mark on the music industry with his soulful, brash, and bellowing sax solos.

Here is the true story of Bobby Keys in his own words. This autobiographical documentary includes exclusive interviews with Keys, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Ron Wood, Mick Taylor, Ian MacLagan, Billy Gibbons, Jim Price, J.I. Allison, Joe B. Mauldin, Dr. John, Jim Keltner, Bobby Whitlock, Joe Ely and more.
